Aperol is a slightly bitter Italian apertif dating back to 1919. Deep red in color, its secret formula includes sweet and bitter oranges, rhubarb, gentian, cinchona and more. Now produced by the Campari company, it is similar to Campari in taste and color but is much less bitter and has less than half of the alcohol content.
