Simple Syrup Recipe

Simple Syrup:  Place equal parts of your natural sweetener of choice and water into a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat until water and sweetener are well combined. Let cool completely before using. The amount of water can be adjusted based on your preference and your choice of sweetener. Agave nectar, for example, is sweeter than granulated sugar, so you might prefer it more diluted. Along with your choice of sweetener (granulated sugar, honey, maple syrup, sorghum are some examples), infusing simple syrups provides almost limitless opportunities to introduce flavor into your cocktails.
