White Whiskey

White Whiskey is a whiskey that has either never been aged in oak barrels or has been aged for a short enough time so that it does not impart the amber hues and oak flavors of the barrel. Many are higher than your standard 80 proof. Although some are exceedingly harsh, craft distillers are fine-tuning the process as a way to get some of their products to market while their barrel-aged whiskeys mature.
